Peoria Irish Basketball

Basketball doesn't build character. It reveals it.

Program:

Peoria Irish NFP (not for profit), Inc. was organized in 2005. The purpose was to establish a basketball program for Central Illinois Athletes, based in Peoria that would give an opportunity to young men of all economic backgrounds to play at the highest level of basketball competition. It also would allow them to experience different people, places, and hopefully use this opportunity to boost their chances of going to college. At the same time the program was intended to allow those who wanted to donate and support this cause to receive a tax benefit. That is the reason that the 501 (c) (3) status was obtained from the IRS.

We have grown each year and work hard to improve the success we have had. We hope that our program gives back to all that have been apart of it in one way or another, and we wish all the very best. All players that have come out of our program have gone on to play collegiate basketball (2 have chose football scholarships).
